The website for the Animal-Friendly Giving Guide, GiveFriendly.com, is almost done. All it needs is more organizations to list in the Guide! Organizations can apply for inclusion in the Guide by taking Kind Choices' Test of Animal-Friendliness, now in version 1.3. Please ask your favorite organizations to apply for the Guide. The sooner they do, the sooner the website will be ready to launch.
Test of Animal-Friendliness Now in Version 1.3
Posted January 24th, 2008 by MauraThe Test of Animal-Friendliness, which organizations must pass to get in the Animal Friendly Giving Guide, has been revised to include stricter prohibitions of killing wild animals. While 1.2 prohibited hunting and trapping, 1.3 also prohibits fishing, the "culling" of animals and the capture and prolonged holding or killing of animals for "research" or "scientific" purposes. A few other minor changes were made as well. Read version 1.3 of the Test of Animal-Friendliness here.
Volunteer Opportunity: Nonprofit Recruiter

If an organization needs to make any changes to pass the test, like offering vegan options at fundraisers, you can offer to help with that too.
