The Equal Justice Alliance is a coalition of several animal protection and other social justice organizations organized to defend freedom of speech and assembly. Their main goal is to get the draconian Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act and similar legislation, reversed, amended, declared unconstitutional or just not used by prosecutors.

What's wrong with the AETA? Everything! It is very broadly and vaguely worded; imposes unfairly harsh penalties; has the potential to deter even non-violent, legal protest and even labels civil disobedience as "terrorism."
